I'm new to tractors. I want to do some loader work in the California Sierras and saw a Yanmar 1401D for sale with a new loader and box. How much is this worth and can I do any major work with such a small tractor?
I don't care how long it takes, just want to know if it's capable of digging out an 8 foot wide, 40 foot long driveway at a 15 degree slope? If I don't hit granite, dirt is fairly soft and I will need to dig down about 3 1/2 feet at top of driveway.

Yes it will do the work you are asking about But as long as it not a real hard servis, it`s a light duty tractor and you have to operate it that way , I have 1401d and cleared, level, and graded, my drive way with it and I`m pleased with the power it has. ....
